I am sitting in a hotel room watching more television than should be allowed. And it is obvious that the media seems to like splashing the obscene, the bad, the ugly significantly more than any of the good that is around us. I've seen murder, greed, economic fear - and that was in the first 15 minutes of viewing (snicker).

So, since this is November - a month of Thanksgiving - this contest will simply be about thanksgiving.

Post something positive. Post a simple thank you to someone else - another TDR Member, a Vendor, a friend. Post an uplifting thought or sentiment. Post a joke that makes us smile. The simple act of posting something positive gets your name included in a random drawing at month end for a three-year renewal to the Turbo Diesel Register. We will select three winners.

And while you are at it, consider giving the staff at Geno's Garage a call at (800) 755-1715 to purchase a 2010 Holiday T-shirt. All proceeds will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation this year.

And most of all, THANK YOU - TDR Members and friends for your loyal support throughout the years.

There is so much to be thankful for I am truly blessed. There are so many people struggling just to make ends meet.

I must say that I am most thankful for my Wife. She is the greatest thing to happen to me and brined me great Joy. I could not imagine being without her. Sometimes I wonder how she puts up with me! God has truly blessed me with such a wonderful partner.

i am very thankful that we live in a country that gives us the freedom to warship GOD like he should Be. Life is so short compared to the eternal that is to come. What more could someone want other than a GOD that's gave his son and is willing to forgive us for all the wrong we do.

O I am also thankful for genos garage and the great service they provide. See here I started a post about this not too long ago. Maybe some of you that did not post something in it can now so they can see how grateful we truly are.

Here is the post https://www.turbodieselregister.com...u-love-geno-s-garage-post-something-here.html

I just read the "Stranded in Wyoming" thread.

I think BSchwarzli should be rewarded for his creativeness in getting himself out of a real jam (I'm sure he is very thankfull).

And Greg Harman should be rewarded for helping him out.

TDR is a great place with plenty of great people!

I'm Thankful to all who served before me and who have yet to come. Those who have sacrificed, so that we may have. This is a great land that is healing from hard times and I'm confident there is more good times to come.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift because it is the present!

Live today because tomorrow is not promised!

Nick

Thank you God for our Country, our Families and our Homes.

In addition, thank you God for my Dodge Ram with a Cummins Turbo Diesel engine.

want to thank geno's for donating there t-shirt profits to the make a wish foundation. we lost my 5 year old nephew to cancer over a year ago now. his wish was to have his very own horse. the make a wish foundation rounded up a lot of donated time, labor and material. he got his horse and a small barn to house it. it was probably an unusual wish but they made it happen. it is a worth while cause to donate money too.

I am thankful for living in this great country, having great friends, family and god. I also thank those who have served before me, as I have served, and my son is currently in the Army, as a diesel mechanic, protecting our freedom. (He drives a 12v)

I really appreciate my wife, who saved my life about a year ago when my aortic heart valve went out (it was probably a Ford product). After this occurrence, every day above ground and driving a Cummings is a great day.

Finally, thanks Geno's for your help when I had truck problems at your business parking lot and one of your employees drove me to a Dodge dealer to get a part. Keep up the great customer service, and the TDR forum.

I am thankful for the way my Dad lived as an example before me, and my mother for her prayers for me and for the blessings God has given me, a wife and a son, that I don't deserve.

I am thankful that I can serve in a voluteer service.

I am married to a wonderful woman who is pregnant with our first. Our families dont know its a boy :)

I am thankful for a friend's parents who had no idea who I was stay in their house many years ago after driving 3000 miles after our leave plans fell through.

I am thankful that I have an understanding family that knows that I will not be able to make it home for the holidays this year. Its the first time I have not been home for either Christmas or New Years since 2001.

I am thankful for my family and two sons. I am thankful for the smell of diesel. I am thankful that my kids can't kick the back of my seat in the mega cab. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I'm thankful for my family, friends, cutomers, suppliers Missouri Mule,

Freightliner (Moose Pack) and my little girl (cat, recently deceased) who I enjoyed very much, she rode to work with me to work and back for many years.

She would be waitng outside out for me in the morning. I would walk out the door and say "lets go to work" she would run under the truck and be waiting for me to open the door. When I did she jumped in and layed down in the middle seat.

On the way home on the last turn to the house she would jump on the dash and lay in indentation above the glove box until I pulled into the driveway.

In 2005 the health inspector retired her from the stand. In 2006 because of kidney failure she was forced to live in the house which she grew accustomed to(She love being with me in the house instead of on the porch). Her kidneys finally gave out and I had to put her down in October.

While riding with me if I hit her in the head to many times (usually three) with my elbow(taking right hand turns or down shifting form 3rd to 2nd) she would grab my arm with her claws and let me know how sharp her teeth were. I tell her keep your head out of the way.

I'm truly thankful and blessed to have such a wonderful wife to keep me in line and out of trouble. If it wasn't for her I don't think I would have had the will to live and carry on with life after my 4th failed back surgery. Not many woman would put up with a guy who retired from work as early as I was forced to do,on top of that she works 13 hr days. All she asks from me is to do is try some house work and have dinner ready, and... ..... keep my Cummins in shape. I think I'm truly Blessed for sure.

Im thankful for every breath I take, for my wonderful family, for my great friends both in reality and those who have helped me from the internet, for my deceased family and friends for making each day special, for those that serve our country and keep our freedom, for technology that makes our lives better and easier, for good hobbies (such as diesel stuff), and for just about anything else you can be thankful for.

Lol. I was just thinking the same! I am very thankful for everyones help (including you Robin!) and that after all of it, we managed to get the old girl back on the road and we made it home (another 5500 miles) with no issues!

I am very thankful. :)

PS. I do not want to win. If I get drawn, please redo it. Let someone else who needs it more win.

My mother-in-law is recovering from breast cancer treatment and can't do any driving, shopping, etc for awhile. Can't lift more than 10 lbs.

My wife and I went to Albertson's in West Linn, OR to do some grocery shopping for her.

The total bill came to $40. 48. We had nothing but $20's, so we were getting ready to break the 3rd $20 bill to pay and the checker pulled $0. 50 out her pocket and paid the additional $0. 48 for us.

It all happened so fast and we were completely frozen with the kind and generous gesture. She insisted and before we could do anything $0. 02 rolled out of the automatic change machine.

We didn't even get her name...

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU!!

Thanksgiving

Like so many here, I am truly blessed by our Lord God Almighty with a wonderful wife of 22+ years, 4 children (3 still with us), 2 very special & loving grandchildren, numerous fantastic friends, great co-workers, and a terrific job I get to go to each day. We have a great home that's almost paid for, a nice workshop, a '98 Dodge Ram 24V Cummins, '00 Dodge Stratus, '68 MGB, and a '36 Hudson Terraplane. I also have a new right eye lense (catarac surgery 3 weeks ago). It's so wonderful to be able to see in 'stereo' again. I am so very thankful for all this and my health - with the hope I get to spend many more years with my bride.
