I thought I would share with you my moment of stupidity. Moral of the story - you get what you pay for



I wanted some clearance markers for the cab and ended up ordering the ones from JC Whitney. They've been on the truck about 2 months, and 2 of them already went out, and one of the lenses is completely cracked. I should have known when I put em on about the crappy quality I saw, (provided screws broke the heads off!!) but I installed them anyway.



Well, they're coming off and I called JCW to tell them how poor quality they are. I ordered some replacement LED style from Maxxima, based on the measurements they will cover the existing holes that I will plug with RTV silicone. I guess I learned my lesson. My roof is gonna look like swiss cheese. I over being pissed now.



Beware of crap- there's plenty out there.

My story is the other direction. Ordered a set. Had them installed. Still on the truck 3 years later... ... ..... no problems. But now that I think of it, I installed them on a Ford with a 7. 3 and a Banks Sidewinder. It probably did'nt make enough power to crack the lenses... ... ... ... .....
