Initially my ordering dealer told me, based on what their 3rd part ordering software said, that I could not get 3. 55's and DSA (SureGrip rear axle) on my 2500 4x2 ETH/DEE.
I found a fellow TDR member whom just got his 2001. 5 2500 4x4 w/ 3. 55's and LSD and he was gracious enough to send me his invoice. Upon showing it to my dealer they spent two+ hrs. w/ DC folks to learn, or come back and tell me.
"IF YOU ELECT DSA on a 2500, you get 4. 10 gears as a no cost add... "
complete hearsay, that is what I was told, but if you folks have anything that show's 3. 55 and LSD together, possible your window sticker may show axle ratio and Suregrip rear axle... you could further my cause.
Additionally, if you have a 2500 ETH/DEE with the LSD and you wanted/ordered 3. 55's, you may want to nose around and see if you did get the axle ratio you wanted.
I am not sure this matter affects 3500's at all, which is wierd because both rigs use a Dana 80 Hybrid if I am not mistaken?
