So for anyone who wants to see it, and just because I'm vane enough to show it off, here are some pictures of my truck. Put your glasses on... it was a little dark out. If the sun ever shines again in Wisconsin maybe I'll just get ambitious enough to procrastinate 3 weeks and then try again. Add to that, I leave for work as the sun is coming up, and get home when its down, so that doesnt help. The average flash on a camera is good for 10-15ft, and I had to stand almost that far away to take the picture. I also sank up to my waist in snow on the second last one, so even if they're terrible pictures, I'm putting them up. I didn't get my socks all wet for nothing...

So here he is... in all his filthy glory... the beast...

Man... those look even worse on here... I may as well have sketched a picture and told you all that was my truck... I'm sorry for wasting everyones time... and my own... .

ah shes beautiful. wow your right, it is really weird to see anothe dodge CTD with this color scheme. looks so much like mine. an shucks if those aint tall stacks! haha, mercy. whats you say they were? 4foot? i like your whips, ive been trying to find mounts to do exaclty what you did. wered ya find em? are those 5foot whips? whats size tire you runnin? 32-33''? looks good, even in the dim light.

oh and i forgot to mention one other scary strange detail. that exact same black plastice piece on my front bumper is falling off all the time. the front driverside. wierd

sorry to keep posting and filling up your thing here, but have you thought bout cab lights. i just put em on my rig a few weeks back. man i love em. it looks like a whole new truck. theyre super bright a real slick lookin. ill have to get a night time picture up of them.

I've been wanting to put some cab lights on for a while, but I've had a hard time finding the ones I want... ironically enough, just like yours. The ones that stand off the top and have the chrome base...

The stacks are 4ft, but they also are sitting on that elbow in the bed. I knew I wanted them to be real tall, and they were about a foot taller at first... I had an extra straight pipe made out of aluminized to boost them up, and when I put them in like that I realized right away it was overkill and looked like a rabbit, so I brought them down to the height theyre at now. I love them high like that.

The whips I bought as a whole kit from radio shack. It included whips, mounts, and a Y-splitter cable. The whips were pre-tuned also... that was the best part. They hit on most drive thru's though. It makes an awful scraping noise, and then you lose the cap from the top. I believe theyre 5ft...

That rubber piece on my bumper belongs to a 2005 toyota 4runner. The truck had awful tires when I bought it and I slid into the guy when it was raining one day. My bumper twisted, so me and a buddy chained it to a tree and I backed my truck up to pull it straight. The rubber piece never fit right after that and kept sliding toward the end until I finally lost it one day. I keep telling myself I'm gonna buy a new step bumper... right along with cab lights...

Here, I found one on my computer of my truck from about a year ago. The airbags in the back were filled a little too full that day (I'm not sure why) so the thing is kind've doing the nose dive in the picture. Thats me next to it, in need of a haircut and a shave... and most likely a shower.

haha yea i think we have more in common than we realize. those cab lights have been my favorite for ever so i finally grabbed a set. only $50. make sure you get your own 1-1/2 inch self tapping screws tho. the ones they send with it are china crap. ya i like the stack hight on your truck. i have the same rot on the rocker pannels. the snow and salt likes to hang on there are eat em out. im in the process of finding replacements for each side, then im going to put role-on be liner on them. im going to follow the top edge of the pannels and to the entire length of the truck. seal if from and further damage and i looks pretty good too.

I got a bunch of pieces of scrap 304 mirror finish stainless steel from my last job. I patched the rockers with that. I cut them to size, pop riveted them on just below the door, and then used a locking pliers to bend them to the right shape. I've only done my passenger side so far. A couple places there was too much cancer for the pop rivets to bite into anything, so it doesnt fit up perfectly there. When I do my drivers side I'm gonna put a backing piece inside the rocker panel, bent to shape, then drill through all 3 piece of metal so the rivets have something to grab. It looks pretty good though. I'll get you some pictures at some point. If you do it that way, put some RTV along the top seam, everyone cuts themselves on there when they get out of my truck... namely girls in short shorts or skirts. The RTV should cover that sharp edge.

For those interested, this is my other truck. 91 Ramcharger 4x4 318... and once again me in need of a haircut, shave, and shower (it was taken within minutes of the other picture).

good advice for the pannels. . thanks. i think the bed liner is thick enough to cover any abrupt edges.

and thanks for the mounts link bmoeler. i apreciate it.

oh and matt, i like how you made sure to specify that the two picture were take with in minutes to show that its not a life style and that that sweetshirt isnt glued to you. :-laf haha, i think is a good look for you, reminds me of the old portraits of Jesus. long brown hair, slight beard... ... ... :)

matt since im not at tech savy as you and cant for the life of me figure out how to get picture attachments up, youll just have to check my photo gallery, but im getin some more pictures up.

I've been meaning to ask you how well those 35's fit in there, cuz I've been thinking about bigger tires, but one of those new pictures shows them off pretty good. Nice pics... . nice sun, I'm not sure what thats like anymore.

im glad you asked. this is the very reason im going to lift it 2 inches. i just went out at took a bunch of pictures for you. ill put them in the photo gallery. ill say this

1. the rears have room to spare, i could probly get 38. 5"s back there no prob.

2. the front took some modification (sawzall did the job good) but nothing super serious.

3. with the wheel turned the gap between the front of the tire and the fender is too small to fit your pinky finger through. same goes for the gap on the back side of the tires.

4. needless to say the rub bad if you have the wheels turned and hit a bump, worst if off roading and turning the wheels cause the axle is goin up and down and the tires bite into the cab and the wheeel wells.

5. if you modify like i did you really shouldnt have much issues.

my biggest problem is around here, the little mountain towns have lots of tight streets and steep hill. if you have to make a tight turn onto a steep hill, thats what will srew you. also if you brake hard when turning you can feel them rub the cab, from the rear of the tire.

hope this helps you out matt. let me know if the pictures give a good enough idea, ill take more if you want just tell me how you want em.

thanks for the compliment ;)

allright tippin. i put a butt load of picture upfor you . even a few extras then the tires. hah, i think youll like em. let me know what you think. be sure to read the discriptions for the picture, i explained a lot more about the tires and how they fit in the discriptions.
