I am constantly impressed with the Vulcan Big Line kit. Easy to install, and great FP. Plus the LP is easy to change :-laf Just have two line clamps unless you want a diesel bath.

Even with my extra inline 10 micron fuel filter I see 16PSI idle and 12 PSI WOT.

Someday I want a RASP but until then this works great.

The only issue is you lose your Schrader valve at the VP. This will cause issues with dealers and repair shops in general. I'm still searching for a 1/8" NMPT to Schrader ( this will fix the problem ), if anyone has a lead on a 1/8" NMPT to Schrader PLEASE let us all know.

Hey you can tee in the schrader by finding a tee block that will run your line on the straight side and a 3/8 fuel line on the tee section run the 3/8 line into the tee and affix the schrader sp? into the other end it will fit then simply use a hose clamp to keep it on it works great. This is the method I used for a guage install with a FASS and so far so good. If you have any questions shoot me a PM and I will get back to ya ASAP. Hope this helps.

Ooooooooooops, I ordered one Schrader to 1/8"NMPT but received a blister pack of 5 :-laf

Oh well, 5 for $9 aint too shabby :D

Will install tomorrrow.

THis sounds like a good product. I have 80,000 on my '01 and have been considering installing a FP guage to head off any lift pump problems (still have original LP). Would this Vulcan kit install be a good time to also add a FP guage and could someone recommend how to do this? Thanks.

I would go this way if I was you. I have had lots of trouble with electric senders, it turned to an ugly thread so I will PM the link for you to read. Some dont like the idea of diesel in the cab and have opted for mechanical with an isolator.

I just used a mechanical 30PSI (isspro brand) FP gauge and a braided stainless steel line to feed it. I'm happy and not worried about the line breaking. Use a snubber too. The line was about $20 and the gauge was about $35.

Ask Eric for a double tapped VP fitting in his kit and you can have the FP line and the schrader right at the VP.

I second Texas Diesel's motion regarding FP gauge in cab. I have the same Isspro gauge on my A-pillar, with diesel-filled stainless braided line going straight from the post-filter tap on my fuel filter cannister (mine is 98. 5 truck, no Schraeder valve) to the gauge, with a small needle-type snubber. Works beautiful. No leaks, no odors. Thumbs up!

Schrader installed. No leaks and now the system is mechanic freindly. Because of the overflow valve and return fuel fittings there is not room for the FP gauge fitting on the reverse side.

TD, those fittings come in many configurations. I'm pretty sure there is one that is 1/8"npt that tees to two male schrader ends. There is one that is female schrader to two male schrader ends. Look around on that link I posted, they will have many configs.
