I am in the market for running boards for my 2001 3500 quad cab. I have the Northwest customs flaps on the rear and wouldnt mind staying with the diamond plate design. Is there a BEST vendor or product??

Deja vu. I think I just answered another question just like this the other day.

I have the DeeZee boards on my 3500 and I'm pretty happy with them. I also have the NW Custom flaps. You can see pictures of what they look like at http://www.dodge-diesel.com/static/eth.html

(Scroll to the bottom of that page to see the newer pictures with the boards and flaps)

Robert, I had the DEE ZEE diamond plate boards on my 93 Chebbe dually, they were GREAT. When I traded for my Ram I saw some Putco boards at an Air Force base exchange, I saved $100 and got the Putcos, BIG MISTAKE !! What junque! They discolored in two places in about a month, they are about 4 years old and cracks at almost every weld. The first crack showed up in only 6 months. I called Putco to discuss warrantee, got transfered from person to person and then got tired of waiting for someone to call me back. Customer service SUCKS. I finally gave up. When these finally fall off I will go back to the DEE ZEES. Great quality for the money. Unless you see boards made of heavyer guage material consider the DEE ZEES. BEST of luck, an unhappy consumer, Dave Hauser
