I'm one of those people that believes the only time you have too much fuel is if you are on fire. That being said because of the loooong distances between fuel pumps around here I usually always get fuel at the first place I can not the second place and I never let my truck get below a half a tank which in reality means that I only have 17 gallons of fuel available. This weekend I just installed my anniversary present (gotta love my wife) a 30 gallon Transfer flow fuel tank/tool box combo. Now without violating my own self imposed 17 gallon minimum cushion I actually have 47 gallons of usable fuel. So by adding a 30 gallon tank to my 34 gallon tank I tripled my usable fuel !! Maybe I'm paranoid about fuel but as I pilot I always remember the old motto that "the three most useless things in the world are altitude above you, runway behind you,and fuel back at the pumps".

I wuz just thru yer fair city last wednesday - the "best" diesel price I saw was at the Flying J, at a posted $1. 55 a gallon!

I'd LIKE to use Winnemucca as my halfway point fueling stop on my way to my folks place in Payette Idaho - where do you usually see the lowest prices there?

Fkying J is usually ascheap as any but sometimes it's a pain to get into and only the middle islands have diesel. I usually fuel at the Texaco. It is about in the middle of town on your right as your coming from the east. If your ever passing through and need any thing my cell phone number is (775)427-8773 it's with me all the time. Steve
