Does a BHAF make a difference on a stock truck? The factory filter seems pretty big, just wondering if a BIGGER filter is necessary. Thanks.

The difference is more turbo noise. HP, MPG and such will not be effected much at all.

I put stock filter back because of noise.

If you were closer I would give mine to try. Remove the boot to fender, and drill some largish holes in the bottom and fender side of lower half of air box. Snoking

Take the air box out and drill 2 row's of 3 to 4 holes each about 1 1/4 inches each across the front of Air box .you will be Golden .

No need to cut more holes in the box unless your well above stock limits.

I have ran a BHAF before and noticed my IAT slightly higher than with the stock box, esp at lower speeds. The BHAF pulls most if not all of its air from under the hood while the stock air box pulls air from the inner fender.
