My wife has a 97 nissan maxima gle.
I replaced the brake pads 6 months ago and can't get rid of the squeel (lite peddle only). I have:
1) sanded the roters
2) sanded the pads twice
3) added shims
4) added some sort of liquid rubber on the backs of the pads
I'm at my wits end. Every time I try something it works for only one day... then the squeel comes back.
Do you think I got a bad pair of pads (nissan oem)? Please help!! Its kinda of embarrassing driving her car.
Any suggestions will help. If not the only thing I can think of is buy another set of pads (not oem). Also, please suggest the kinds of pad you would purchase (I thinking about trying some from NAPA).
Thanks
Frank
