Hi guys,

The bumpers are by Buckstop Truckware in Oregon. The website is Awesome bumpers and the install is pretty easy. The rear I could do myself, it balanced sitting on the trailer hitch, while I inserted the bolts to hold it on. I think it weighed about 120 or so. Maybe a little more. It bolts right on, no drilling or anything. Just take the old one off and the new goes in the same holes. Even had the cutouts for the hitch plug and tag lights. I still have to find some suitable fog lights for those holes to wire into the reverse lights. The hole for that is 4 1/2 in. The front, on the other hand, was a bear, only because of the weight. I think it was close to about 200 or more. That one takes two people to balance it, since it wants to tip forward and can hit the fender or lights. But once you get it positioned, it bolts right on, in the factory holes. They engineered it very well. The set contains all the bolts you need, even the license plate bolts. That one is a custom color, looks kind of tan, but it's actually a fine metallic powdercoat that looks great next to the green. This is one sturdy bumper and fit and finish is great. Some say costly, but I didn't find them more than most of the other similar bumpers. Buckstop will work with you on the price, I got these with all the options, including the front reciever for manuevering the boat into tight spots. One of the guys here worked a group purchase for them when I got these. I think it will work with the factory plow mounts, but I would check with Dorian at Buckstop to make sure. They are good about answering e-mails.

The only thing I don't like on it is the grille guard... I like Road Armor's Titan II guard a little better.

My buckstops have been sitting on the dock on their pallet for the last couple of days. They were going to ship out on Tuesday but then an ice storm hit.



They look great though. That's the first good picture I've seen of the rear bumper on a 3rd gen. Makes me glad I went for both ends.



I can't wait... . Oo.

Yep, matched set is the only way to go. I may yet, change out the diamond plate chrome on the top of the rear for something in black non-skid, maybe. I need to get some lights in the rear to cover those holes. Just haven't found the right ones yet. Beware, offloading them is a J. O. B. They are heavy, especially that front one.

I have some Hella 550's ready for the front, but I am undecided on the rear lights as well. . I may leave them empty till the spring, it's pretty cold out to be wiring things up. I am all set on the unloading as well, I have a tractor with forks. That is, as long as the shipper lets me know when they'll be coming...



How is the diamond plate attached? Rivets or screws? I was pondering taking the diamond plate and just getting them sprayed with Line-X, and putting them back on.

The diamond plate is riveted.



Those lights in the rear bumper on their site are simple tractor lights that are readily available for ~$15 each. I have them in mine. They fit perfectly and throw off as much light as I need. I don't spend much time in reverse, so decided not to buy spendy PIAA's.

I am about that close to buying a rear bumper (because of accident) as opposed to the factory stuff, and that rear loos veryyyy nice, and sterdy

I have the rubber tractor lights in mine as well. If you get them mounted just right the rubber housing will actually wedge inside the bumper (I had to shim the mounts to get them right vertically) and look awesome. They'll be flush with the outside edge of the bumper.

My diamond plate came unattached. I used screws instead of rivets to make taking it off easier, when I do the black coating. Never thought of Line-X, but that would be perfect. I also will probably black out the light buckets as well. I think that would enhance the looks of them. And the tractor lights is what I will probably get. I agree, the PIAAs are a little too expensive for that purpose.
