Sled Pulling --> May Madness You decide..

So Cal TDR January meeting

talked to David a couple of days ago....

The driver of the little red fords want to race you in a grudge match, his words for me to tell you where, "Just bring it!!!"

:--)

He's got guts!!

Andrew

My truck is in Katy getting a new injector pump put in "hopefully under warranty" and if its ready I will be there to race. Does any one know of a good RV Park close to the track I can stay at. I do have a genarator and enough water so If I need to I can stay at the track if they let you???

I know for NHRA they let people set up their campers there, if there is a phone # somewhere, you could call and ask.

Andrew

I was talking today to David Lott, owner of Diesel Innovations, and his shop is looking into getting a group rate at a motel down there.

Who all is comming and staying?

Andrew

Mark and Andrew,

I'm gonna try and swing it! I'm getting o-rings and a head gasket and studs the week after next so the truck should be in OK working order. Just waiting to do the 6-speed conversion. That wont happen until after the races. I wont race but do you have any REALLY heavy trailers that I can drag????:D

who knows maybe with all the money I win I can add some REAL goodies to the goat

d,

I asked him at the track tonight "Where is your driver?" He said he is mighty tempted to drive it himself.

Weather down in Houston is not looking to good. The forecast is for 70% chance of rain on Friday and 80% chance on Saturday and Sunday. So the forecast for racing is not good. Does any know if they will reschedule if it rained out. It's starting to look like I might be heading to Kerrville instead of Houston. But I wont make that decision till friday at noon.

Here is what was said about the rain... .

Listen up,

Friday 10-25-02 at 12:00 noon we will make the decision to call off the race so,

If you or some one you know is coming from out of town you can call at that time and you will know to come on or turn back. The rainout date will be November 16th at www.rivercityraceway.com in Marion,tx.

#'s to call are 713-984-9441 or 281-728-8292

This is from David Lott, aka PowerStrokeRacer. But if you read the local forcast from the gentleman who lives in Kerrville, he says,

Well, it's pouring down rain again today. They are starting to announce some road closures south of here. This really sucks! I hope everybody is able to make it as it looks like we might get a break and have a decent day on Saturday before the Pacific hurricane arrives on Sunday.

Either way it's a bad weekend to have planned outdoor stuff in Texas. :( just too bad we can't know that far in advance. ;)

Think I'll stick with the races the year as there are LOTS of folks comming still.
