Pierce builds a wicked truck. Our vol department has 2. 1 tanker, 1 engine. Both have CAFS ( compressed air foam system) and Cummins power. Fire trucks have come a long way. Our 2nd run tanker is a 1960s Binder with a 160 Cummins and a 5 and 4. Our present Chief built it out of a dump truck about 35 years ago. At that time it was the cats azz. It still goes out on rare occasions, but there are only about 4 of us left that know how to drive it.
