As Motorhead said the throttle cable controls your line pressure. It also prevents your up shifts, but it is not the type of adjustment to be done by what you think it should be. It must be set a certain way and the best person to call is Bill on that.
When dealing with so many lies going to the pcm, ie) when you add hp, the pcm doesn't understand this, the accelerator pedal position sensor is now useless, on some trucks they don't idle right, the main advice i have head bill give a hundred times is make sure your electrical connections are good and that the voltage issues are properly addressed.
The voltage regulator's primary function is to lie to the computer ( pcm,), it also is easily adjustable. Every truck is different so there is no set formula so we set it with a digital volt meter.
Setting up these two things properly is one of the key things to having a good shifting transmission.
One more thing, the Chrysler service manual tells you that your accelerator pedal position sensor is not adjustable and you have to buy a new one,

wrong. You can adjust it , Bill does it .
Here is how he does it, when you remove your pedal position sensor housing there is a white tag that tells you what your voltage should be set at. Again this is a variable, they have a lot of different tags. It could vary from . 48 - . 57 , as a general rule of thumb you can go . 1 of a volt higher than what the tag says. The higher the voltage you get away with without setting off a check engine light helps minimize the lies.
DO NOT DO THIS if you are not electronically inclined and do not have an digital voltage meter to measure your starting point and keep track of what you are doing.
In other words write down your information do not rely on memory.
Remember , messing with this sensor can set a check engine light.
