The engine hours meter

Is the engine hours meter something we can access, or do you need special diagnostic equipment to see it? If we can access it, how is it done?

You can access it, I have not checked it in a while. I am pretty sure you access it by turning the key on but do not start the motor, press the odometer stalk and hold, the hours will display in the miles window.

I thought I had read the owner's manual front to back at least twice. The only place I remember seeing it mentioned was in the promotional literature. Guess I'm on the way out to the glove box for another peek...
