Number 2 job that really stinks

This is only a "Test"...

If you haven't heard about this you need to buy the book by Neal Boortz & John Linder. In fact, if you have heard about the plan you still need to buy the book so you can decide for yourself if it has merit.

I think the plan has the potential to revolutionize our economy. In short it abolishes the income tax, alternative minimun tax, Corporate and business income tax, Capital gains taxes, Social Security Taxes, Medicare taxes, Self employment taxes, Estate taxes, and Gift taxes. It also abolishes the IRS.

The "Fair Tax" is a national sales tax that replaces all current Federal taxes.

One example - An auto selling for $24000 today has a manufacturing cost including profits of $12600. The difference is embedded taxes. The "Fair Tax Plan" would eliminate the embedded taxes and add the sales tax which would bring the price back up to slightly less than $24000.

Every head of household, regardless of income, would receive a monthly check from the government equal to the amount of taxes paid on basic necessities.

I know there will be a lot of nay sayers and many who say it can't be done. Find out for yourself, read the book. Don't rely on me or someone who hasn't read the book. If enough people believe in this plan we can make it happen despite politicians who want to keep their hands in your pocket.

O. K. let's discuss it. ( no flames please just polite discussion ) Thanks,

There's already a couple threads on this in the Political forum. Probably better discussed over there because it will stir emotions.

Have you read the Political Forum threads on this topic? It has been beaten to death among those who care to discuss it in there.

There's a better way. Rather than the expense of sending out a check every month, simply exempt certain items (necessities) from sales tax. That's how it's done here in Texas & it works just fine.

Dont waste your time in the political forum, it's just a bunch of :-{}

I havnt been there since before the last election. It was just a bunch of people throwing rocks at others on the opposing side. Nothing constructive.
