A longer rod has nothing to do with a longer stroke. The stroke is determined by the crankshaft.

,,,and exactly what does that have to do with the rod picture being of an old 6. 5 and not of a Duramax???

Maybe it's the picture, but the Ford and Chevy rods don't look any bigger than what you'd see in a large block gasser. The Cummins rod looks like what you'd find in a farm tractor. Yes, there is more stress in putting similar HP on 2 fewer cylinders, but from the picture it looks like the Ford and Chevy rods are inadequate in and of themselves. Putting the Cummins rod next to them is just rubbing salt into the wound.

Years ago, a friend who owned a GM dealership told me he bought a Dodge/Cummins because he had a farm tractor with the same Cummins engine that gave him excellent service.

Yes the Cummins B5. 9 engine was quite versatile.

Used for Medium/Heavy duty trucks ,generators,pumps, off road eqiupment.
