The Fifth Element movie questions

Although I think the movie is great, I just figured it was all in the script. Never really tried to figure out what was what and why or how. As a matter of fact I will watch it again tonight to see if I have missed anything.

You know, does it really matter? Nah, but ever since I saw the movie that one part has confused me, so I thought I would ask the question. This should be forewarning not to watch movies with me, I'm far too technical
