I wonder if there is enough room to mount 2 identical fuel pumps on the frame, one above the other?
If one was to fail, all you do is transfer the lines down to the second pump along with the power harness, and in 15 minutes or less, youre back in business.
Then you replace the failed one, without a loss in service. It becomes your backup.
The thing would be to use easy disconnect fittings, and have 2 end caps for the backup pump to keep it clean inside, and a dummy electrical connector to protect the plug.
Yes, I already have a Fass, or would be checking it out. I like the idea of being able to switch on the fly. . Practical.
Edited: If two wont fit directly to the frame, then mount the bottom one as low as possible, and make a bracket to extend upward for mounting the top pump. Game's over, problem resolved. .
