I admit that I am a little old fashioned. I see where the market is going for diesels, and I am not saying that this is necessarily a bad thing.
Maybe we will see a day where diesels dominate ALL motors, we'll just have the high-revvers in cars and light trucks, and the low-revvers in the heavy stuff.
Market forces are the key. That's why you don't see many solid front axles any more-- people don't want to climb up that high. You know what the irony is? I remember as a kid seeing Ford truck ads where they would drive a truck over this camera-in-a-box to show the ground clearnace, while the Chevy would knock the camera box out of the way. high used to be good. Now low is. Things come full circle.....
