First the bad, I was about 90 miles from home, towing 6 horses, when the fuel pressure gauge started going erractic then went to o psi. Pulled off to get something to eat and check the wiring on the guage, got back in the truck and it would not start. Needless to say the POS lift pump was dead. got a wrecker to come tow the truck to the nearest dealer, but that is another story.
Now for the ugly, the only two friends that can tow that much weight both drive PSD's. So one came to get my horse trailer and yes I had to hear about Ford power and reliability all the way home. The next day my other friend calls and rubs a little more salt in the wound, but whatcha gonna do but wait your turn?
Now for the good, got my truck back, and only 10 days after being towed I get a call from the guy that pulled me in and low and behold, his precious ford has blown the clutch and quess who has to go tow his trailer in. Yes he did eat some crow, I rubbed it in HARD. To make it even better 3 days later my other friend pulled in to my barn with his Ford blowing oil everywhere, and had to be towed from my barn to a dealer with a blown oil pump that they still haven't been able to fix. Yes life is good, and it proves once again that he who laughs last laughs best.
