LMAO!! Nope... ..... I'm sticken' with DTT permanantly this time. Well that is if I can work out my issues with Bill that is... ... ..... I think I can. But this time I will be getting a FULL dtt trans for sure.

Chris

EDIT-- I thought I would throw this fact into public view. I have been pleasantly supprised by the number of pm's I have gotten telling me of members who have seen through the BS of the ATS salesmen. There is a ton of it; eventually it will come full circle and they will have to answer for it. Clint said that good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people. It will be very interesting to see what happens with ATS.

A p7100 with 16mm plungers and barrels huh? Now thats a good one. LMAO.

Chris did I read that you pulled out a barrel assembly in your stock pump? Time for recalibration if so.

Timing a P7100 now takes me about 30 minutes after the many times I have done it. If they are installing 2-3 per week they should have it down pat by now. What is going on up in Denver?

This thread kinda reminds me of a saying that an older, and wiser supervisor once taught to a young inexperienced technician.

"The Toes You Step On Today, May Be Connected To the Butt You Have To Kiss Tomorrow" and from my Mom, "Make Sure The Words You Use Today Are Sweet, 'Cuz Tomorrow You May Need To Eat Them" ;)

You got it. I never did believe that one; that's why I took the d-valve out to see for myself. Don shut right up and Clint seemed upset. I take it that you read that really long post before I deleted it, eh? Like I said- what a joke. They may know trannies, but they don't know beans about pumps. I know far more about the p-7100 than anyone at ATS (at least from what I saw). All I know is what I have learned here and by taking one apart. I would still really like to see a pic of that plunger to compare it to one in the 911 if ya want to post it.

Chris

If I have to eat my words, it won't be the first time. :-laf

You better keep it Swamp. You might need it someday.

This has been an incredibly frustrating adventure. I wish I had never heard of ATS. They have problems. I am not perfect either, but at least I have some ability to remember what is happening around me. Only about half of what I heard Clint and Don say was the truth, the other half... ... ... ... ... They may not even remember most of what they said; I don't really care. I will never deal with anyone there again. :(

Given your comment, I feel obligated to tell everyone my opinion and experience about/with ATS. I am extremely pleased that ATS is around. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) that Clint and Don have told me has been the truth - and they don't seem to have problems remembering anything that they have told me, or promised me...

They have both gone out of their way to help me, both with my trans, and other issues that they had nothing to do with - take my PowerEdge that crapped out - I DIDN'T even buy it from them in the first place. I told Don that it was having problems, and he went in the back room and grabbed me a BRAND NEW 2002 PE box, went out to my truck, swapped it with the old box, and when I asked what I owed him for the new box, he said "don't worry about it - I'll take care of the old one for you - I think that I can get it replaced under warranty". Sure, it's not costing him anything to replace the old box, but damn! Talk about customer service - like I said - I didn't even get the original one from them, and without my asking him for anything he replaced it!!!

I'm not sure where you're coming from Chris, but "Damage Control" seems to fit in there somewhere... Good luck with your transmission - from what I have heard and read, Bill will take care of you - no matter what... DTT appears to have a very well tuned customer service attitude toward all of their customers - even the "not perfect" ones... ;) (which none of us are - you're not alone)

BTW, if ATS was really as bad as you said in your now-deleted post, why on earth did you still want them to even TOUCH your truck again??? If even half of the things that you said were true, and I were you, I would have NEVER even considered it. Makes a person wonder how much of what you said in that post was an attempt at "Damage Control", and how much was truth... . especially since you have now deleted the post... . Sorry, I'm just thinking out loud again... .

As always - this is just my opinion, with a few facts thrown in for good measure...

Joel

P. S. Bob, before you ask - I wasn't asked to post this on behalf of ATS - I'm just giving my opinion - again... ;) :D

Joel- you are right about them being good people. They really are. I think that it was just not meant to be. You would have to of gone through what I did to understand my position. Some people think the world of ATS, but there are people who don't. The more technically in depth you go with them, the more things you see wrong. The original deal was to put a whole bunch of stuff on my truck. Over time Clint whittled it down to a tc and valve body. The main problem came when Clint told me that the fabulous purple ATS transmission was all stock accept for the extra plate in the direct pack. That really burst my bubble. There are good and bad things about every person. I just believe the good outweighed the bad in my eyes. Like I said- I wish I ran like hell the first night I showed up for the upgrades. For those that missed it, they didn't even remember I was coming. :{

The entire transmission itself is left stock except one clutch pack?

Tell me more on the pump you got. Do they have your pump still?

Can you guys just trade back? Do you have a 913/887 now?

How was the timing issue resolved. Did it get timed properly?

Don what is the difference in the pumps? What do I have! I hear what you are saying about doing the timing, I changed the valve springs last night and added the stiff little springs for the 4k update, #1 was slllllow #6 hurt my knees, 3 and 4 were a piece of cake:D

Jim

Trying to get better at Diesel's..... slowly!

JConley,

What do they do? Is it secret or what? Chris stated they only add one extra clutch pack to something or another and the rest of the transmission is stock. Not including the TC and VB of course.

Chris

I looked a word up for you in the dictionary. "Credible" meaning, Believable; plausible. 2. Reliable.

I don't have a dog in this hunt, but some advise to you after reading your many transmission posts. Let this thing die or you will be less "credible" then you have become. It looks pretty clear that after the door was slammed in your face at ATS following your attack on DTT that you now think you can get back in with DTT by slamming ATS. I think both of these companys have a lot of class and I don't think this behavior will help you. Just let this thing die and in a couple of years :) it will all be forgotten

I give you my word that Clint said the only thing they do is add one more disk to the direct pack. That was strait form his mouth. That is the last thing I heard him say. I swear to God almighty this is what he told me.

As far as the pump- I tore off a stock 911. I put back on a stock 911 with a weak cylinder. They never did get the timing right and gave up on it. Clint said that he would not do any more with the pump. Those are all facts. The pump I got was supposedly sent to some guy named Brent to get turned into a 913 with "16 mm" plungers. The first time I picked it up it was completely obvious that it had never been touched since it was taken off of Clint's truck.

Found an interesting term.....

My fiancee, who has been following these threads also, has informed me of what is really going on here.

It seems we have a Troll on the TDR.

Chris oh buddy and pal, I ask only one thing, please don't quote Kurt's B-1 as very expensive ks b1 turbo, It sounds bad! The reason I say this is I had a conversation this morning and the individual that thought it cost 3k, yea the B-1 is higher than all the other singles that I have seen but I really like it and choosing between it and a PDR 40 is going to be hard, I really think Kurt has a good thing and is a decent person that is just trying to make a living(I know you like the B-1). Chris I think you came clean with all of this(without answering my PM:p ) just don't beat it to the ground! I read the long post last night before you deleted it (yep I was up that late) and maybe it does need to be reposted but this is the internet and we are all key boards and not people talking face to face. I highly encourage you to stay on the board with us as you are one of the TDR family. If this offends you I apologize and ask that you not take it personally!

That's cool man. Thanks. I was not trying to rack on Kurt; he is one heck of a nice guy. It was a pleasure to meet him at MM. I think the timing is the main reason for my high egt's. I really hope the B1 is ok... it is making some funny noises now. I think the compressor wheel is hitting the housing a little, I hope that it is not serious. There are some truly awesome people here and I think you're one of them!

Chris, if half of what you say is true, all i can say is i feel for you, that sucks. Hopefully ATS will respond to this thread.
