The Ham is Cured

Was chatting with PacCool the other day about a cured ham and I got to thinking just exactly what it was cured from? Did the ham have some kind of disease I am glad it was cured before I ate it but am now wondering if there may be any ill effects on me

Well if you have any ill effects from it you will purge it from your body either the top end or the bottom end. Any your little buddie will probably do his part to even though you injured him. You best take care of that boy.

I remember it all so well, it was a dance in 1959, I went to the dance with my dad and came home with my mom But I dont think there was a cure for anything but I will ask dad for sure .
