whats the highest you should run a 3rd gen before problems occur

Just trying to be helpful... ... it's your truck; extend it ever how long you deem necessary.

I often wonder the same thing while towing. I have seen 1400 before, but I usually hang around 1300 or so but not for more than a minute or so, then kick it down a mph or so and drop instantly. I wish I knew if the ol' beast could take more or not???

Ya gotta remember and know if you are measuring pre or post turbo. The Turbo takes a lot of heat away from the exhaust gasses,



On Class 8 Post turbo I never run above 850-900 and dont hold that for long!



I think tht equates to about 1200 Preturbo.
