Well I finally got it fixed and painted. I purchased a bed from a guy in Oregon and I picked up a a different tailgate from the one and only paccool. Thanks Stan!!! I only had it for a few days and I had to go to the ranch and as you can see it does need a bath, but I am still waiting for the paint to cure. So when I get it washed I will take some more pics of the old girl. I decided to go with the same color green, but instead of the tan on the bottom rocker panels I just had it line-xed. I took the trim off and got a new front windshield, two new front fenders, cowl cracks fixed, new badges, had the headache rack redone(we added expanded metal and put in some louvers on it thanks Brad at Ponci's diesel) I also had the headache rack, back bumper, bed rails/ cross rail line-xed. I am really happy with the results, but I did notice a couple of flaws like dirt under the paint/ one run in the paint and there was a little dent in the drivers side front fender. I took it back to the body shop and they told me that I had to wait until the paint cures (1 month) and then set up an appointment and they would fix all of the little flaws. Total cost $6800 line-x made up $1415 of the total. I used to not care where I parked in a parking lot, but now I park where no one else does so no one will ding it. I also don't tailgate because I don't want to chip my new windshield I also drive very defensively. I am looking at new tires and wheels and I will be taking it in to the mechanic and see if we can get some more hp out of her. I also need to go back through my pump and replace some worn parts. I will be ready for the first gen day up at Piers and this year I will be putting it in the show&shine instead of parking it in the back 40. No junk yard dawg award this year PB. Although he already told me that you could only win it once a lifetime I didn't want to take any chances.
