Bad dealersh????'s

Well the one in prince gouge bc have been taking my money since new all under the auspices that they couldn't find what the customer ( the idiot) that bought the truck was complaining about. The excessive toe-in for the steering the fact that the steering wheel oscillated rapidly between 10 - and 2 while I drove down the road, couldn't be identified at this time on 2 visits. Should have been picked up when the PDI was done. The seat sagged out at about 52,000 plus KM's ( I was about 210 lbs ) and they put a 140 lb mech in the seat to see if it was good and of course. he didn't sag the seat. I am not going to pay $1400. 00 plus a year for a garbage seat. The coolant loss since new. One day at work ( at about 20,000 km's) when I checked the engine oil before starting it I saw that the conserverter tank was dry and the rad was down. They weren't able to identify the area of loss of the coolant so I had to buy the dye from cummins in surrey and ask them about it. yes its a 53 block. The last of the 3 problems is still being worked on ( 39 visits to date )gutless and little power at start and bucks terribly between 1100 to 1275 rpm. This is being caused by bad voltage from the PDC have seen it on an o-scope.

Shall be buying a 2 ton truck next and get a good CAT motor for it. none of this cummmminnnnnnsssssss / do_g_ excrement.

I owned a Dmax for three years and 72,000 miles now a Dodge Cummins for over a year and 25,000 miles.

The Dmax lost a head gasket at around 50,000 miles. Running a Juice box and propane in tandem :-laf

The new DOdge I have now has been pretty good. Still early though. I got shaky with the Dmax. It's known for injectors failing. Not if but when. The Allison is a good transmission but it won't hold much extra power without a $5000 injection.

So I'm having fun with this new Dodge. The Cummins is a mean motor. Not as refined overall as the DMax package but it's a truck... it's a medium duty diesel, not a car.

I had a 1980 Chevy 1 ton single rear wheel. The head bolts were upgraded because they stretched. I sold the truck with 110 and the last I heard the guy who bought it went 225 and I lost track after that. He put nothing on it except maintenace items. I did put a injection pump on at 85. The brakes lasted 50 in the front and 80 in back which is insane for my style driving. They are putting a new pump in Monday or Tuesday which is in the tank like 3rd gen trucks I hope it works a decent amount of time. If I keep it at least the hubs will come off to do the ball joints and not be destroyed like last time which was 700 in parts alone. Ten cents worth of never seize. Keep you posted. I will not pay for the fuel filter. I'll give the guy 100 for his favorite charity so he doesn't think I'm cheap or burn it in front of him.

Food for thought

How bout this? Instead of financing through a bank make all payments through dodge(have dodge back their product with their $$$$). Finance it for 7 years and have 7 year FULL warranty. IF you have 4 or more claims within that 7 year period (not counting brakes or abuse, or BOMBing gone bad) simply give dealership the keys and walk away free and clear. If you are loaded and paid cash for it they should prorate and give you money back. Ill bet quality and workmanship would improve.
