Here are some pics of me towint a 25,000 lb water tank. The truck did fine. Average mileage was 17 mpg. Egt never even hit 1000*... ... ... . trans stayed under 180*... . this truck is too tuff
How far did you pull it? At what speed? Was it full of liquid?
I'm not doubting the truck pulled it, but 17mpg is what has me wondering. You certainly didn't pull it through an entire tank of fuel right (~500 miles)?
If you can get 17mpg towing 25,000 lbs, I think you have a secret you should tell the rest of us
we didn't go very far. Maybe 20 miles. It was across town and i was taking it easy. I got the mileage off of the computer. It was reset at the begining of the trip. I will add that the computer is usually off by 1 to 1 1/2 miles per gallon on a full tank of fuel. I think we had a top speed of 40 mph... ... . Still was cool though
