Hello 14ram here,

just introducing myself having registered after lurking for a year or so...I am coming from the "other" forum although I am not terribly active in internet forums.

I have owned my 2014 Ram for exactly 2 years and have 32,000 miles currently absolutely love the truck although it has not been a trouble free experience hence my registering
here. During my research for issues and solutions I see a good deal of experience and expertise on this forum look forward to learning more about the truck.
This is my first diesel pickup and with all the modern technology its been a steep learning curve even though I have operated heavy diesel tractor trailers for 15 years.

Purchased the truck 1 year in advance of purchasing our 5th wheel rv so I enjoy reading the trailer and towing forums We currently have appox 4000 miles and 40 nights camped
with our 5th wheel.

Shorthorn my truck came with the 3.0 radio and I missed not having a cd player after the xm trial period was over I started looking at a replacement unit. Value for money I kept coming back to the pioneer avh 3700 bt. I purchased the radio, install kit online at crutchfield and ordered a motion bypass from amazon otherwise the unit wont play movies while in motion kind of pointless for back seat passengers!

Youtube has several videos detailing the install its very easy on these trucks and very happy with the radio itself as far as the backup camera goes I took it to a local shop for install I didnt feel comfortable tapping into the bcm since I have had my fair share of electrical issues on this truck. The camera is decent quality although not near as good as a factory toyota back up camera I had previous
Y on a toyota.
