I personally don't like chrome so I did a quick photoshop version of what the new sport/blackout truck might look like with some bigger wheels and tires. To me it just looks like the same truck we have now but with a different grill and bumper. It looks like a mix between a Toyota and GMC. I don't like the wheels I threw on there, but if you squint while looking at this and ignore the drivers side tires, it should be a fairly accurate representation of what the new trucks will look like.

I thought it looked like a Toyota as well. I will prob get used to it, eventually, but I am currently not a big fan.

Is it me, or does it just look old? Just not enough change from the current line to look fresh to me.

Not a head-turner, no doubt, but at least it's not styled by Matchbox. I wish some concrete info on powertrain would leak out.

totally agree with you, comrade. matchbox seems like it designed the other 2 hd trucks....ram , it seems to me took the safe route....should know details about whats underneath this month at the detroit auto show, according to a buddy of mine who owns 3 dealers. happy new year comrades! cheers.

Is everyone forgetting that this is Devil's rendition.....and not FCA's....;)

Sam
The bottom of the two pictures posted *is* FCA's "rendition". That's the actual new front clip. All the OP did was monochrome it and add a lift with bigger tires.

Unfortunately, the all-new Ram HD using the body of the new 1500 is still about 2 1/2 years away.

Hey, go ugly early, and you'll never be lonely. I showed the photos to a buddy who is a die-hard Chevy guy, and he didn't believe that was actually the new truck. He thought it was a joke... and it is.

You know that the die hard GM guys will still buy those things no matter how ugly they are. When they hear the sound of that Isuzu diesel winding up and they watch those skinny front tires go all knock kneed under load with that lousy independent front end....they will giggle like little school girls, wet their pants, and fork over the change for the new one.

That's just sad lol

You are absolutely correct.

I see the nav antenna puck on the left but what is the flat one on right?
The shark fin on the passenger side is the new AM/FM/SXM/GPS antenna - no more metal aerial on the fender. On the new 1500, it's mounted above the rear brake light, but on HDs, that location would be covered by slide-in campers, so it's up front. The small button-like antenna on the driver's side I believe is the 4G cellular antenna, but I'm not 100% positive on that.
