New CTD Owner!

Crankcase Breather Bottle

Hello To All.

Well the big thing is in the drive way, what a wonderful toy for an old guy like me.

I can not get enough of driving it, it is just great, its better than sex, (if I can still remember what that was).

Thanks to all the contributing bodies this is a great place to learn new things.

Thanks to all.

2003 4X4 Quad cab, HO CTD Graphite,Laramie, Auto, and no more bells and whistle's to come.

Denis.

Now comes the fun part.

You get to shop at the grocery store all the way across town. The video store nearby just seems too dull...

You start visiting friends you haven't bothered to see in years, because it's a nice drive to thier place.

And heck, when nobody's paying attention, you just explore town, yet not noticing a thing about the surroundings... .

Yeah, we know. Heard the stories before :)

Now, why are you sitting on THAT chair when ya gotta seat behind the wheel to keep warm and a new CTD to break in?

I tell people that driving my CTD is like getting your driver's license for the first time all over again. you suddenly find yourself "volunteering" to drive to the grocery store. i've never been this happy with a vehicle for such a long period of time. life if great!

Will Drive Anywhere

This is the first time in living history that I am willing to drive any distance to pickup that special item, from the( what used to be) oh so far away store, just to please the little woman.

Amazing what a new truck can do to further the course of true love!.

Denis

And you wasted all that money on the infinity stereo system, cause you'd rather listen to the turbo spool up than the radio. :D

It doesn't seem to stop either. I've had my truck for almost 2 years now and I like it more every time I drive it.

I still hop in it and drive it across Houston to pick up things that I could have just as easily picked up on my side of town.

To make things worse, when my dad saw the truck for the first time, he me I'd be sick of a 5spd in Houston traffic within 6 months. No way. I love everything about this truck (except the lift pump problem) and have no trouble shifting. Heck, I drove the wife's Maxima to work the other day, hated it. Felt like I was sitting underneath something, and couldn't see around the cars in front of me.

So, what do you mean "no more bells and whistles to come?" Are you trying to avoid the BOMBing bug?

Won't happen. Sorry man, you're already on the dark side, what are a few more steps?

Duane

Bitten By The Diesel Bug.

Thanks Duane.

I think that you are right, I am already educating myself about all the bolt on goodies,it seems I need to learn a complete new language. I hope thats possible for an englishman, but I am sure that many out there will help me along. I have just got my truck back from the service shop,is has had a new PCM & ECM fitted to it, I was a little nervous about this kind of a event but it seems great know. It just suddenly started with the overdrive not working and then the cruise control followed shortly after,it took 2 weeks to get the parts. However it is running just great now and it only has 1068kms on the clock, it sure is a learning experience with this first pickup truck I have ever owned. I am trying to tell my buddies that I am becoming a cowboy, they laugh and tell me to work on the accent.

All the best .

Denis.
