Strange selling experiance

OK, at the risk of sounding like a square, I bought my first Offspring CD today, "Smash". The album is 10 years old now! :--) Got it for the track, "Come Out and Play. " Love that song! I never really paid any attention to the lyrics until I could read them for myself.

Now I know "Come out and Play" is about gang violence. But up until now, the chorus, "Got to keep 'em separated" always made me think of a certain item of ladies' lingerie. :)

I think I'll buy more, but I am still concerned about the possibility of brain damage from this stuff.

I think I'd call their music "frenetic. "

Tim

Tim- I hear what your saying. Some of the filth that comes out today must be a concern for one's mental health. I over hear some of my co workers "music" and cannot believe some of the lyrics. I don't think that it is an age factor as there are some (few) bands of today that are tolerable. I think that it is a matter of how much "shock value" that can be gotten away with (re: SuperBowl antics. )

SDSGDMF - Offspring listeners should recognize this.....

My college roommates and I listened to Offspring when we were cramming for tests or writing lab reports - we are all mechanical engineers. At 3 AM Offspring went on and somebody was going to get body slammed in the hallway - 3 of us all 6'3"/6'4" 215-240lbs.

I still have the CD in my truck. It's great road music for dirtbike trips.

Brian

I have been listening to Megadeth, Iron Maiden, and Spinal Tap:p since the early to mid eightys, and I have no brain damage of any other psychological problems. No, I dont worship the devil either.

Offspring rocks! I have one of their CD's in the truck's radio right now. Good head bangin hard rock. I don't know about brain damage but my ears have taken a hit or three from them.

DKayser,

Yeah, Cake is different to say the least- like their Short Skirt and a Long Jacket. My ex was built to pull that off VERY well. Woman we lived with in Loveland was a BIG time NIN, Marilyn Manson, KORN, etc fan. Most of it got on my nerves, but I got to where I could stand some of it; we did listen to 3 Doors Down's first CD on the way to Tulsa Gun Show. I kinda like Nickelback's (sp?) new one- Figured You Out.

No, the Offspring wont cause brain damage. Now the offspring that are the result of a broken prophylactic, are BORN with it... .....

Daniel

I like the offspring!!

I just bought (and am now listening to) Nickelback The long road.

Only problem is, I really like one song on the whole CD. :(

Eric

You know you want to hit that... ... ... .

Offspring was in my first 97 when a Canadian liberated it.

Wouldn't do them any good, round wheels and all, ya know.

Blood Hound Gang !

The Blood Hound Gang has always kept me entertained. . They have some great toons, like "the lap dance is always better when the striper is crying". . And many more... ...

Blood Hound Gang

I had a g-friend that complained of my foul mouth around her 4 year old but listened to the Gang with her around and sang along as well. Go figure:rolleyes:
