the old Blue bomber is gone

this really has nothing to do with anything, i am just so happy, i had to tell everybody. after 2 years of sitting around my garage and barn my buddys' old 78 chevy is finally done and gone



he brought "that thing" (as my wife calls it) to me two years ago. he basically wanted a place to work on it and then my help to paint it all. he wanted to change the cab, fenders, bed and doors and have me repaint the truck. HE was to do the work.



well, I wound up putting cab corners on, half a floor pan, new mounts and rockers on the cab. did about 20 hours of body labor on the bed. paint everthing including new fender liners, core support, inside and out (color change) of the new cab, change the axles, springs, motor, transmission (new clutch while it was out) and transfer case over to a NEW frame. all new fuel and brake lines, shocks and finally reassemble the whole damn thing for him, just to get i out of my way. Oh did i mention, I had to do all of this?



it left from my dads shop(where i painted it) last night after setting the bed on and bolting it down.

Stored a clients WRECKED '79 MBS 300SD in my yard for THREE years! He wanted me to strip it of usuable parts then decided he didn't want to pay me my rate. I finally got tired of it and moved it to my driveway to pull the trans out to sell(re couping some of my storage debt) Well one evening, I was backing my truck out and I lightly scraped my right door on my truck on the left mirror of the MBZ. That was it !! I loaded it on my car trailer and took it to the bone yard with his blessing and a photo-copy of the pink(he could not find the origional!). Got to the yard and they can't take a photo copy. I call him and he says that I will have to take it back home while he looks for the pink. I said BS and paid $75. 00 for them to lein sale it. Wouldn't you know, He called me the next day to tell me he found the pink. I called the wreckers and they said the paperwork was already turned in and that there was nothing they could do. Called the guy and He told me that I should have waited and that he would only "SPLIT" it with me!!! WHAT BALLS!

Well, I work on his '87 MBZ diesel soon and the bill is going to be at least $100. 00 inflated. Pay back is a b!#ch . Chris
