my future plans for upgrades include the following.

airdog 150 GPH lift pump

DDP stage 3 90hp injectors

ATS pulse flow exhaust manifold and aurora 3000 turbo in that order

then maybe a new 4 into 5 exhaust i have a 4 now.

the question is, will the delivery valves in a 175 pump handle that volume of fuel and if they wont where can i get the tool to change them out, or is it even worth buying. i live 20 miles away from a diesel shop.

problem number two is that i have a factory installed jake brake that will most likely be ditched since its a 3 in and i have only used it once to see if it worked. it does, but since the truck is a manual the difference wasnt that noticable.

im shootin for 425-450 horses :D

Well you should probably put your trucks year and info in there somewhere. Also the fact of exhaust brake not being noticable makes no sense at all, My packbrake was very very effective with a manual, if you tow at all Id suggest you start using it, just remember its more effective with higher RPM's.

95 3500 5spd 13. 5 clutch 4. 10 gears AEM brute force intake, AFE elbow, silverline 4in #6 plate at stock spot, 15 clicks on the wheel. everything else is stock.

ive never had to tow with it, its gets used for the payload and reliability.

the jake brake was installed by dodge so it has no chance of keeping up with a pac brake performance wise. im just happy dodge didnt staple it on and call it good. trust me, i didnt buy this truck for the dodge parts.

You need a boost and EGT (exhaust gas tempature) gauges first if you don't all ready have them.

I believe 181's should do the trick.

The exhaust brake that was put on by Dodge was probably a brake from Cummins. The Jacobs brand come to mind.

the ATS manifold comes preported for an EGT probe, and my AFE elnow was preported too.

what size is the injector hold down nut ive heard 22mm, 23mm, and 15/16

I would suggest leaving your stock lift pump on instead of going with the AirDog. The AirDog can't maintain the pressure needed for the mods your planning.

The 5" exhaust will gain you nothing but bragging rights.

I'll also second Bill on the gauges and the 181's.

the new exhaust would not just be for bragging about, the one i have now has given me a few headaches and it didnt fit right when i first installed it. it was too short in the midsection and i had to take an extra section of pipe, cut it and install it in the middle of the system to even everything out.

but seriosly, what size is the injector hold down nut?

if the exhaust brake was factory it might be set for a lower pressure. the 12vs where not designed for an eb. thats why pacbrake and the others tell you to change the exhaust springs. a factory installed one might be meant for use with the lower springs the results would not be as good as an aftermarket one. it wasnt untill recently that i had ever heard of a 12v with a factory eb, they just didnt install that many of them. also i dont know the specs so i might just be blowing smoke here.

as for the rest, your power range a 4in exhaust should be just fine. maybe a new one yes, but a 5in really is just bragging rights. i think the 175 pump will be near its limit on fuel flow at that power range but it should support it. delivery valves or not. the big things to focus on would be turbo and or air supply and injectors/fuel delivery. most of the stock components will support 450 horse. the clutch wont so if you dont have one youll need one.

you can reach that power level pretty easy, just have to tune it right. keep your boost under 50lbs, 45 would probably be the most you need. ddp3's i believe will support 450. the ats turbo, should have enough air. the other things to think about is supporting that power. air dog or fass is a good thing plumbed inline with your factory lift pump. also a good return valve that helps keep fuel pressure constant would be good too.

i dont know what my truck makes for power, but i have ddp1's, fass 95, heat sink fuel cooler, in tank draw straw, and adjustable tork tek return valve. this keeps my fuel supply clean, cool, air free, and at a constant pressure. my truck makes enough smoke free power to pull 23k lbs over 6% grades at 65mph without getting hot, and at 12mpg.

What? Airdog cant maintain pressure for 400hp? Thats why mine hold 60psi with no issues... Anyways ditch the ddp's overpriced and junk, go with a set from southern diesel extreme, great price and correct spray angles. With ats your paying for the name, there are alot of options for s300 turbos that work the same as the A3000 but are cheaper. do alil more homework, dont wanna tell u how to spend ur cash, but theres money to be saved. Also the 175 pump will support alot more than 400hp lol

by the way i am stall wondering what size those injector hold down nuts are. i would be eternally greatful to the person who tells me what size my nuts are. :-laf

Southern Diesel Extreme, custom diesel engine performance parts/service for Dodge Cummins 12, 24 valve injectors, Duramax, Powerstroke, Springdale, Northwest Arkansas I have a set in my 12v and have a set being talked about for my CR, do yourself a favor and call them and ask any question you have. Chris or Jamie will set you up with the right product. and the size of the hold down nut is 15/16

But DDP uses 155* spray angles when the correct is 145* which SDX uses which is why they run smoother less haze and lower egts with the same power output and they cost less!

i wasn't impressed with my ddpII's and went back to the 330 marine's i was running before that were less smokey, cooler and gave better mileage for just shy of half the price, an expensive lesson as i only got about half what i paid for them when i sold them. the marine's hit harder on the topend too
