Hi all, well I check in every so often,if I knew then what I know now I would have never posted that one.
Ive had time to get to know my dodge, and I wouldn't trade it for 2 fords,I really love this thing,I still agree the powerstroke is a great truck and would have no problem with one,but after owning this dodge for a year now I have come to a conclusion, that after a year with this truck, and after having the ford for that 1st year, the dodge wins hands down, the cab still has no rattles, the ford did,and it gets better every time we drive it. Didn't expect to here from this post again.
Thanks for the reply guys. . Seeya

Well, fellow Rammers, I almost got a Powerstroke crew cab. Darned near ordered it too. But, after much thought, deliberation and debate, I bought my Ram. Main reason the Cummins ISB. This motor is purely strong. It is the base motor in several motor homes w/ GCVW ratings of almost 35K lbs. It's in firetrucks and school buses. Hooowaa!

My best friend has a PSD. I've driven it and it drives nice. Mine drives nice. We each like our own and each other's trucks.
We each own the one we want. We each cast our vote in the way that counts most--we bought the one we wanted. We're both winners. #ad

So, there it is.

In the original post you mentioned problems and stating the cummins is a less performer in the towing area.

Did you find anything that corrected this situation?

2000ney, so which vehicles had the original gas 7. 3 in it? Just curious.

One thing that cracks me up about everyone kicking on the psd fuel system is who else uses it. Cat actually designed the system and they use it on a bunch of their engines. How come no one ever knocks a Cat? How come you always see posts floating on these boards about how people would love to have a Cat motor in their pickups?

I think the psd and the cummins are both fine engines. Both have their issues. I just happen to own a psd right now. So I guess it's better then a Cummings. #ad

Madams,
As far as towing I wound the more I towed with it the better it got,the va box was a big help, and as far as how it tows now,I think it is as good if not better than the powerstroke.
But the more it tows the better it got... .

Vaughn, I was just really busy. Between my full time job, starting a photography business, going on vacation, tending to my travel trailer and such, I just never seemed to have the time. I'll be honest with you, I just burned out on posting. I didn't even read all of last year's TDR issues #ad
(although I'm back into them with a vengeance, now) Just needed to re-charge the batteries, I guess. It's good to be back, though. Can't beat the comraderie and advice found here. I have to get over to the Ford site and tell all them boys hi. #ad
