well i had attempted twice to remove this prime-loc from by beast, but to no avil... it was on the truck when i bought it so i do not have any install instructions... i assumed it was a spin-on application at the stock filter location, but i cannot get it to budge... i looked with a mirrow from beneath and cannot see any bolt that might be securing it. . is it possible for someone to tell me how it is attached at the stock filter location so i can remove this thing... it has warmed up enough to try again this weekend... the upper part of the system is not a problem... any help appreciated... thanks

Mine also has a PrimeLoc on it when I bought it... and want to remove it... on mine, there are two black hoses that thread up into the feeders on the stock location. it looks like a 90' elbow fitting up under the stock filter receiver.

There is a nut on top of the original fuel filter housing. Loosen that nut to remove the prime lock adaptor. You will aso need a filter canister and filter for the original set up.

Well folks:
The Prime Loc spin-on does spin off. There is no bolt to hold it on. The two black hoses from the aluninum block need to be taken off at the new filter and stuck straight down so the round block can turn. Probably what is holding it on is the is just the seal from the rubber gasket. The rubber seems to grow onto the aluminum.
Personally mine will stay on the truck I park it for good.
Good luck;
Preston
