Bombaholics 12 step program ...
Step 1- start thinking that you really need a diesel.
Step 2- start surfing the DC site and pricing out your truck with all the options that you can afford.
Step 3- Stumble upon the TDR while surfing and think,"hey this is pretty cool".
Step 4- break the news to your wife that you are considering a diesel P/U as your next vehicle.
Step 5- Order your truck and become a member of the TDR (helpfull hint, shooting type ear protectors might now be needed while at home and while around the wife).
Step 6- Start planning on what BOMB's you will do to your truck, after the warranty expires.
Step 7- screw the warranty, order your first power BOMB, before you have a VIN or ship date from the dealer.
Step 8- Surf the TDR until you wife asks you why your NOT surfing the TDR on any given date.
Step 9- Order more stuff(gauges, heater hose to re-route the crankcase breather, back up lights, etc. ) even though you now have a VIN but still no build date.
Step 10- Surf the TDR more often now than before, because you have the build date and the truck will be here soon.
Step 11- Receive the truck, drive same and then post these #ad

on the TDR. After one day, begin BOMBING your new truck with all the goodies that you have accumulated over the 10-12 weeks of waiting.
Step 12- Keep those ear protectors handy, you will need them when you try to explain to your wife that the new truck with 2200 miles on it needs either a new clutch or a Bill K. trans. job (depending if manual or auto)as your's is now toast. Now that it's in, start planning to buy more power BOMB's so that you can now challenge your upgraded drivetrain.

There wasn't that easy ? You did mean 12 steps on how to BECOME a bombaholic, right #ad

I personally know someone that tried this fast track and is now a confirmed BOMBaholic, but it wasn't me, I swear ! Please don't try this at home, not for the faint of heart or for those who consider a extended warranty a good option to have #ad

Try cruising with guys that have fuzzbusters. . . or get one yourself. There were several of us pushing our chances to and from (and at) Dyno Day last weekend. Big Bob runs a Valentine 1 and we hung together as we hurtled down the freeway with reckless abandon #ad
The bad thing now is since I've come home, I still have a bit of the speed bug and haven't always kept it in check. With my new DD2s I have been trying to run a tank to check my mileage but each of the last 3 tanks have seen no less than 2 100-115 mph blasts #ad

John Treibel and I lined up beside each other entering an on ramp on the way to dyno days... we had both just punched it when the CB rang out that there was a cop there. . we quickly let off, and I glanced in my rearview mirror in time to see him round the corner and pull in behind us... I am sure he must have seen part of it, but must not have seen enough! No tickets!

well, looks like I am on step 12.
Graduation Day!
too fast is right... . 118 in a 7300 lb truck is just flat Psycho

OH, $h**!!!!
I knew I was headed for trouble when I started reading this site. Now there are 12 steps..... I can by-pass #4 & #8 (no wife!), but I can see myself addicted already and the truck has not arrived yet.

This thread is rich!
Don't forget to leave some photos from the mud bog on your coffee table while waiting for the new truck. HVAC's site has some nice movies of ADAM's truck doing the dirty thing! #ad
(you can find via my site, along with some other inspiring videos)

"Honey, these parts are not for speeding, I am going to enter my 40K machine in the mud bog races this summer" (great reaction getter!)
