It looks a little taller than our little 5. 9, probably a little longer (I'm not using my "calibrated eye: ;) ). I'm sure it's quite a bit heavier but oh man what a project for the truck Oo. ! Ok my wife threw water on me and woke me up :{

Cummins Diesel Signature 600 truck engine on skid "new"

*Drool!!* :eek: #ad

That's a lot of bread, but it is brandy-new.

They have their share of problems, though...

I forgot the exact size, but they are over 15 Liters. rated at 600 hp & 2,000 tq. I have had a few come through our truck lot that were in some 379 Petes. They are big... ... . but not as big as the KT series 600 Cummins. :--)

The K-series cummins make those Signature 600's look like toys.

I saw one apart at Diesel Injection of Pittsburgh (Cheswick... :rolleyes: ) and it was freakin' massive.

Yeah, we had one one time that was in a glider kit truck... a '87 Kenworth W900 short hood and man... . I didn't see how it fit under the hood. The KT came out of an old cabover truck. I remember the overhaul was over $22,000 and that was back in the late 80's. It was also converted from a 450 to a 600 at the time.

Yep, the KTA's were the original 600 Cummins. 1150 cu/in, 3600 lbs. dry wt. , and hold 62 quarts of oil.

I had a '85 359 Pete with one. Ah the good 'ol days when fuel was under a buck a gallon.

Boyd.

That ISX is only about 2700 lbs soaking wet... That's pretty light compared to other COMPARABLE engines...

How do you get it to work? Get a REALLY big boat and tie a chain to it. IT should hold your boat still, as it sits on the bottom of the ocean. Not the most reliable engine cummins has ever made. Too bad. The N14 was better.
