Teton Homes shuts its doors, voids warranties



"(Sept. 17, 2008) -- Company officials at Teton Homes in Casper have been telling customers in no uncertain terms that the 41-year-old luxury travel-trailer business is closing its doors, according to several of those customers. The customer comments are in line with a statement by a Teton Homes employee who answered the phone Monday and said the company is going out of business, and warranties on all Teton Homes products are void. I don't own a Teton, never have, and wasn't planning to but I hate to see a manufacturer of high quality 5th wheels like Teton go out of business. I don't know how long Teton's warranty was or whether Teton owners experienced many warranty issues but lots of folks are now without warranties and the value of their units has been reduced.

Even though the warranty on the RV may be void, the warranites on the appliances, roof, etc should still be valid. It is sad to hear about another one dropping.

That is sad they made one of the top on the line trailers. The fuel prices I'm sure are putting the squeeze on all the RV industry.

Yet they are already planning on a come back, but will only continue to build the oil field products.
