The Sunroof option is no longer available

I ordered a new '05 2500 QuadCab SLT with all the great gear a couple of weeks ago. One of my options is the new sunroof.



However, I got a call today from my dealer that the sunroof option has been canceled... :{ And I was looking forward to having that wonderful heat reducing window!



Oo. I still can't wait for my new truck. I've been watching the TDR boards for quite a while, and signed up this spring. The information exchanged here is amazing.

Strange. The option is still offered on Dodge's web site. You may want to verify by calling Dodge customer service.

The "heat reducing window"

Giveth and taketh away..... Just like wheel well liners.



I would check and make sure that the dealer didn't just forget to order the window. Give the dodge order line a call.



Otherwise there are plenty of aftermarket ones that are less $.

by the way, the sunroof option has been pretty popular... So it might be a supply issue, and also 6-spd are getting SUPER rare, autos are alot easier to get built

Just because some people wouldn't want a sunroof doesn't mean it shouldn't be an available option for others. That's why they're called "options".

The sunroof is a nice option to have also. Nothing like opening up the roof on a nice day! :-laf

sunroof option discontinued

I am sure the quality of the factory sun roof/installation is better than aftermarket ,but my experience with the two that i had in different vehicles was that they all leak sooner or later.

In the long run most sun roofs wil leak.

Hate to say this but may be its not a bad thing for them to discotinue it.
