One of those days...

Mazda Protege...

I went to meet with a customer about a fence today and they had the sweetest , cutest little puppy. real cute, quiet, but playfull. I told them that I thought that was the sweetest little thing and they proceeded to tell me its story. I seems that he was jogging in Shawnee park and heard it in a trash barrel. Some skumbag piece of dirt less than a human being ( my words, not his) had crammed this little dog in a cardboard box and tossed him in the trash. He took the dog home with the intention of taking it to the pound the next day, but took it to the vet the next morning because it cried pitiful all night. It turns out that the rat turd that dumped the dog had apparently kicked it and broke its little jaw before it got boxed and trashed. It took 3 weeks for its jaw to heal. Poor little dog is only a foot long and 8 inches tall now, but as cute as it can be and has the sweetest personality. I cannot comprehend how someone could throw that little dog in a trash barrel like that. At least it has a good democrat loving home now. It seems like I have run into a lot of little puppies this year but this is just the sweetest, cutest little dog. I just can't understand it. :(

I was really liking this post until the demoRAT part came up.

OOPS! Did I forget the C? Maybe this is a made up story for political gain.

Kind of like the forged documents about our President's past.

Or maybe it's OK to save a puppy but wrong to protect the unborn human?

Keep it in the political forum.

Not made up story. Just like I said. The republicans will find something bad to say about everything, and say it. If I had said they were a nice christian family I assume then you would have had to come up with a plan of attack for that as well stating that the they had to be republicans because democrats cannot be christians in the hate fill repubican way of thinking. Obviously you don't give a damn about the dog just like the ******* that dumped it. . Your political attack is what made it political. I stated that the old folks were democrats. period. You added the political crapola.

There's enough division in the political forum guys, let's not let it run over to here. Drop it now. I for one am glad that the puppy was saved and I don't care what kind of home it's in as long as it's a safe one.

Now that's a decent responce. My wife thinks I shoulf have offered the pup a home because I kept telling her how sweet it was last night.

dseabaugh,

Nice to hear that there are good people in this world. I would like to get ahold of the ******* that did that to the puppy and break his jaw!!! BTW, I agree with Steve 110%

Yes, I think Steve exercized restraint in his responce as lead moderator.

I have 2 dogs (3 including the chihuahua) and I'm glad it now has a good home.

I dont think of my dogs as dogs... theyre my "fur kids". :)

I don't care what kind of political stripes a fellow wears, if he is good to animals and kids he is OK in my book.

My mutt sitting right beside me at the moment, is one of three pups that I found abandoned in the bar ditch one night when it was cold and raining like the devil. Can't imagine the mindset of somebody that would mistreat a dog or a child, but it happens thousands of times every day. Some people just don't deserve the label "human"... .

Thanks for giving that fella a home! :)

Just adopted another border collie from the shelter in Sheridan a week ago Friday. Found her via petfinder.com. Had her spayed last Friday and both vets commented on how sweet a dog she is.

Just as I got to the Sheridan shelter a fellow was leaving with a real mellow red/white border collie - she was a real good find too. He had to put his old dog down about two months ago and was wondering "Why am I sitting here all lonely and miserable for? I gotta get another friend!".

There are so many dogs looking for homes at the rescue sites and shelters. :(

'Ol trail dog, one of my dogs I believe has Border collie in her, along with shepherd, husky and wolf. Mildest friendliest dog I've known. Smart as a whip too.

As I'm reading through the site, my german shepherd is here by my side. :D

My thoughts exactly. If you saw what a sweet personality this tiny little dog had, you would think the person who did it should be sunk in the bottom of the mississippi with lead boots on for catfish bait.
