The idiots who I have to pi$$ off and run into the median every day of my life because I refuse to let them merge after I just sat in stop-n-go traffic for the last 1/2 hour in the lane that DOESN'T end and they feel that, since they are in more of a hurry than I am, they can run along in the lane that DOES and then cut right in at the very end. Uh-uh, buddy, you best get back or over, and if you run into me, you better hope the cops show up before I have the time to drag you outta your car and beat you, you inconsiderate, annoying piece of roadcrap.

Driving in Houston, this has to be my absolute #1 hot-button issue. These imbeciles see the "Left Lane Closed Ahead" signs for the last 3 miles and, after I've patiently (well, somewhat) waited in line in the right lane for the last hour, think they have the right to run their new Mercedes or BMW up the left lane at 75 MPH and then dive in front of me when their lane finally ends. Hey, it'll be a cold day in He!!, buddy! Obviously, this POS road apple thinks he/she is more important than the rest of us peons who are sitting in line since the rules (and common courtesy) don't apply to them. Almost makes me wish I had the Ranch Hand bumpers and side nerf bars!

Edit: Come to think about it, it's not just the lane closures. The a$$4o!es do the same thing when an exit is backed up onto the freeway. Going to IAH (George Bush Intercontinental Airport), the exit traffic sometimes backs up onto Beltway 8. So, after sitting in line up to the exit, here comes some POS who dives for the exit from one lane over at the last possible second and expects someone to let him cut in line.

I agree with the lane closures...

I don't run very far up before I merge, because I like to get as close as I can to being the 1st car behind the big trucks that run side-by-side. Why? Because I like the way they don't allow other people to take advantage by sneakin' by everybody in the lane that's closing. Therefore, if I'm right behind these guys I don't get taken advantage of either. And being as close as I can to the next person behind the trucks as possible makes the time that you spend waiting in the traffic jam more entertaining, when they run people off in the grass and such. :D

I hope those guys realize that when they are swerving to run people in the grass and they see me moving into position to fill the void they just left (not moving forward to close the void, just inline with the void to keep other cars out of there) that they don't think I'm trying to jump in there and cause more problems.

There was a guy a long time ago in a motorhome who tried to get by two big trucks that were pacing to stop the cheaters. The MH guy was getting mad, but he had no right cheating everbody by passing the trucks. I was the 1st car behind the big trucks, and I was in my little Celica so naturally the MH thought he would intimidate me and make me move. I put on my high beams, laid on the horn for about 2 mins and absolutely did not move 1" over in my lane. I was about 1' off the trucks trailer. The next guy behind me was about 1' off me and doing the same thing as me. We were only moving about 1 mph. Neither he nor I was letting this MH in. The next few cars didn't either and the MH started knocking over pylons, then he stopped. Best I could tell there was about another 20 or 30 cars that passed him until some wussy pittied the P. I. A. and let him in. It was great! :D

How about automatic transmissions that make you remove the pan and cover yourself and the garage floor with oil just so they can save a buck by not including a drain plug.
