Well boys, the deal is pretty much sealed. Near the end of March, I will have an NV4500 to put in my truck. Along with it... probably a Con O.

How much do you guys think I could get out of my Getrag? It was rebuilt 3 years ago, and not used to tow much (and at that, not more than 5 tons of hay or so) since, and has a pretty good clutch in it from what I can tell. I haven't slipped it yet, so the clutch and flywheel should be fine.

Any guesses?

Used Getrag- ~$750, provided it doesnt make any funny noises and shifts smoothly.

Used Clutch- as much as you can get. I'd be interested in it if I didnt have a spare already.

You keeping your NP-205? The reason I ask is, I have of late considered converting mine to a W350- too much #@$%! mud round here. :-{} with the half ton wussy- mobile drivers who can go 40mph.

My transmission shifts smooth, bumps a little going into third if I try to shift too fast... but otherwise it's not bad at all. I could always keep the clutch if it's not worth selling... as a spare or something.

And yes Daniel, I am DEFINATELY keeping the 205, it's one of the best t-cases around.

And all I really need is the adaptor bellhousing and the np-205 adaptor right? Quad 4x4 sells kits for $650, but there is a lot of stuff in that kit that I can do myself.

Well i guess i spoke to soon Chris, Good luck on the install. I'd put an ad in the classifieds but i'm sure if someone needs one they'll speak up.

Chris

Yep, you should check my PM I replied back to you over on NWB. Livingez123 is selling me his cheap.

I am going to post over in the classifieds, but I was just curiouse what I should ask for it.

Thanks!

Well, Pastor, I would REALLY like to do the 13" OFE conversion, but it is well over $1200, and I just can't see forking over that dough anytime soon. :(

I hung on to my Getrash for 2 years until I found a buyer for it at $500. 00 then installed it for an additional $250. 00. Mine had about 1500 miles on its rebuild when I pulled it out. I got sick and tired of the noise. The NV4500HD is one of the better swaps I have made over the years. I too have the Con-O and you'll be impressed with how smooth it is.
