Diesel in oil barrels?

Am I the only person who smells BS?? :-laf

A Ford Super duty running with an M5, riiiiight. This guy just said his F-250 will run 140 mph+ right with a car that runs the 1/4 in 13. 2... . :-laf :-laf Unless he's got some SERIOUS mods, I think it's just total BS, and the fact that no one called him out at TDS says a lot as well. :-laf

That's what I was thinking, BS!

If you look at his sig, not much mods, assuming it's complete.

These trucks aren't able to run anywhere near that speed, as RPM's go out'a sight. So you would need taller gears or taller tires.

Can you imagine a set of 38's or 35's at 140 mph?

Yeah, right.

Thats typical of TDS, I haven't bothered with it in awhile because of that very thing.

My 99 PSD at 100 is scary enough on 35's and thats with 3. 73's. Its not right that an engine that big can turn over 3000 grand, it doesn't sound good either.

No, but I've done 100 on 39. 5 swampers... ... ... . once... for a very short time.

Yeah, I doubt he held with the guy like that either, but the SCT program at the bottom of his sig is where the power is from. They talk about it like it is gold to the 6. 0, which it needs.

I agree that the story is probably complete BS, but what is up with closing the thread for discussing illegal activity? I assume that means they will be closing any threads that discuss changing any EPA-mandated emissions component? Any discussion of anyone exceeding the posted speed limit by even 1 mph? Discussion of running red fuel on-road?

Thank God for TDR.

In one of the other threads on that forum about exhausts, a moderator posted a bit of a warning about discussing illegal exhaust mods (i. e. removing the cat)... In fact, they shouldn't allow any modifications at all to the engine to be discussed, since that changes the emissions performance of the vehicle.

I'm glad I don't have to suffer through using a site like that. TDR rocks!

Closed because of talking about illegal activities... . Does that mean that changing factor installed equipment is not illegal... . Might as well close the site completely!~

They can't even talk about modifying the EGR system without the thread getting shut down. Most of the guys seam to think that the EGR is what is flash boiling there coolant causing the motor to puke antifreeze. However they can't talk about it to figure it out and fix the problem.

Funny how they can't talk about the emissions devices because it would violate the emissions laws but they can talk about adding programmers and chips that are labled "OFFROAD USE ONLY"

The sensorship over there is nothing but crazy.

dont know if i could buy 140mph,but he did say occupants of the car claimed 140,and if he was close behind that would put him around 135mph i would think. 135mph still seems a bit fast for a 6. 0 to me,unless he has done a gear change or as someone mentioned,he's running taller tires with some 3. 73 gears[if thats the case he's a true idiot driveing that or anywhere near that, fast]. several years back my best friend had a 96 f250 with 3. 55 gears and a 7. 3,in stock trim it would run 120mph. if the 6. 0 turns out another 500rpms over the 7. 3,then i would think 130mph is easily doable with the 6. 0. .

I wonder I was racing an acura on I78 a while back with just my comp on level 4 and looked down for a very brief second and needle was pinned at 120 and was still pulling hard . So I don't know what the ctd tops out at not that I want to find out but ?

TheDieselStop is about the most strict site I've went too. I have learned quite a bit there. But I'm moving to the Cummins from what I learned. I'm hoping by next summer I can be posting with question about my truck. There is a lot of info here been reading for a couple days now. I want to be ready once I get my new ride. Jim

Closed even when the PSD is bragging. Don't dare go on there and brag about the Cummins beating a PSD. Forget locking the thread, they will probably just delete it and forget it ever existed. What a bunch of babies.

PSDs are their religion, and if anyone goes against it then it's evil!
