I have had no problems with the 2 piece kit in my dodge, it was an easy intall. I have installed both the 2 piece units and the factory one piece assemblies with equal effort. Since I replaced the 2 piece kit on both ends to start out with, there really is no obvious benefit to either one from intial install of the newer assembly type.

I had no issues getting the 2 piece kit to connect together. It was not a sloppy soft click, but it was not an effort that dumped fluid all over the place trying to get it to together either.

My only reasoning for trying the new 2 piece kit was to try and get the disengagement position of the pedal in a higher position. The older assembly was just about at the floor after 200,000 miles. The newer unit is holding steady at mid point for release. I still have to go 3/4 down to get the clutch safety switch to close the starter circuit, but that is better than denting the floorboard panels like before.

south bend sales the 2 peice heavy duty hydraulics, i don't know if they are the same as the dealers. i put sbc's on my 98 12v a month ago never had any problems getting the quik connects together, but like smokin monster said the rubber oring was too thin and the master cylinder would not lock propery found this out after i threw the old one away. the master cylinder is twice the size as my stock one
