Had to take a picture this morning of Ozy's truck in my driveway. He and Steffie are staying with us for a few nights. They are heading home after.

Figured this was a once in a lifetime photo.....

I hope they had a good time in the US and got to see everything they wanted to see? I can't remember if they where going further north then MAINE! And yes it is once in a life time photo shoot. It is not very often you can see a European truck plate on a US highway.

Es ist sehr schön, wenn man so nette Besucher wie diese Schweizer Leute haben. Und es ist wirklich etwas Besonderes, wenn sie Bürger des Kantons Schwyz sind.

Ozy and Steffie are heading for Halifax, NS today. Truck goes on the ship tomorrow for the return voyage to Germany.

What a pleasure to have met them, wonderful people. Have stayed up until midnight two nights in a row so that we could visit with them at the house.

We were introduced to Swiss Cherry Schnapps, good stuff. Did my first shot, felt like a fireball. 41% Alcohol according to Ozy..(have to trust him 'cause I can't read label).....:D:-laf

Prost! - to the health of you all!
Great picture of the two Dodges, Mike! (and also of the Cherry Schnaps ;) ).

Our journey "once around North America" was a great experience! We loved the beautiful landscapes, the space you've got, the wonderful food and above all the kind, open, friendly, helpful and very special people we met in person or "online" through the TDR.
We enjoyed our time with Mike and his lovely wife Sandy who let us stay at their beautiful home (the camper being already full to the top...).
Today, we had to part from our rig in Halifax harbor and Saturday we'll have to fly home.
But beware - we might be back eventually!

We were sad to see you leave, but happy that you left us the rest of the Schnapps.........:D

Safe travels my friends!!!!

I thought I let it to you, it looked that you enjoy the Kirsch.
Best wishes and we wait for you and Sandy to meet us in Switzerland. ;-)

How did Ozy get that crease in the side of the camper? Nice looking rig. bg

That's an old scar from a VW Door, these Times the Cab was mounted on a Trailer an a stupid honk opened his door between Truck an Trailer.
So I have a scar, some insurance money in my pocket and the VW Guy needed a new door and fender.

And thank you for all the good wishes, we really enjoyed every minute of our trip and we will come back - with more time.
we had to skip so many nice places just because of no time, it was sad.

Ozy, did you pass through the New York City area? I was keeping up best as possible, and seems like you didn't do much in the east.

Anybody remember the old motorcycle ad " You meet the nicest people on a Honda"? Might be applicable these trucks, and folks who work at Freightliner.

Here's to Ozy and Steffi!!!

An Arizona shot glass full of Swiss Schnapps.....that's culture right there...:D
