Ok, recently had PDR #11 plate, AFC spring kit and 3k GSK installed. The acceleration from the get go is great. No more defueling on the top end either. It pulls good to 3k. The problem is in the middle of the range. Boost builds slow. On the local test hill, hitting the bottom at 40 mph and nailing it to a sign at the top, it is no different than before the mods. Is there an adjustment to be made in the pump? I'm looking for more power in 4th gear.

specs: Plate is in stock position, exhaust is stock accept for lack of cat. Medium spring installed for AFC.

A fellow TDR member is coming over tonight or tomorrow who's a real diesel head to do some turning, just thought I'd ask you guys. TIA, Tim

Doggy performance

What Mark said;)

Tim I'll give you a call in the morning... how does Wednesday after work sound?

That's what I was afraid of, I'll print it out and have it for us tonight R. Ebel. I should be around other than my accountant is stopping by for a short meeting.

Thanks guys, Tim

just remember to tighten the set screw real tight;)

mine has a dead spot in the middle if i run it with very little to no smoke on the bottom end. that afc spring seemed a little tight though.

did you try moving the plate forward?

Tom

Nope, no plate sliding yet. Rebel and I were talking the other day about that gov. lever being off, so I thought we'd try that first. We might turn that star wheel a click or three to see if that helps, but like I said the bottom end is awesome compared to what it used to be. Yesterday I made a left from a stop light. The conc. pavement was wet from rain and when I made the turn in 2nd gear the back end fish tailed! It started slipping on its own, so I applied more juice and it fish tailed. I couldn't believe it. The pig had never done that before. Cool part was I did it right in front of a power joke. :D

I'll post how it comes out. Tom, Thanks again for getting me this far.

OK plate is all the way forward. YEE Haa, Chester's dead. Well actually it's performing pretty good. Running too hot of course. The governor lever looked fine. I'm going to call Piers tomorrow.

R. Ebel, Thanks much again for all your help and time.

hey no problem. like the extra plate?:D the only thing keeping you sliding that back will probably be the clutch!

next time R. ebel has to make it... i'd like a ride in his truck!Oo.
