Thermocouple Location

I need input on the very best location to place a thermocouple [pre turbo] genos says put it up on the top at cylinder #3. I also heard to put it closer to turbo. confused would like to do it wright.

I put mine on cyl 5 and 6 right at the curve so I could drill it easily. The back 2 cylinders run the hottest and wanted the highest temp possible with the least hassle. The absolute best place is probably right in front of cyl #6 but it is a bit harder to get to.
