Daimler/Chrysler to produce Diesel Liberty in USA for 2004

Rated Speed?

I was just watching the rose bowl game ,it was heavily peppered

with the ford stuperduty adds,IMO they are just plain stupid... . tow starting a DC3??? drag racing with what looks like a 30 foot horse trailer and the drivers are wearing nomax&helmet

what is the point here? not that the adds from the general or DC are any better... ... ... give me a break

:) 4 wheel steering aka Quadrasteer = more $$$$$$$$$ out the pocket if something breaks.

Also shows laziness... . people will think they dont need to learn how to back up the "hard" way. Kinda like learning to drive the "hard" way... with a 5/6 speed stick. :) Most of the public will say gimme an automatic.

BTW... I drove a few Quads when I was detailing---- wasn't too impressed. I'll take the extra money and bomb the truck thank you very much. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Did you guys notice that the Ford truck that was pulling the sign trailer through the intersection was computer generated as was the PS2/Fedex/Tostitos billboard above the stadium.

Mike

Tell you what. I'm about ready to kick Toby Kieth in the teeth! Okay maybe not him, but the advertising department of our local station perhaps. I don't like country and can't stand that D**n commercial. I'm so sick of hearing it every time a show goes to commercial. Grrrr!!!

... and they use a parachute in the drag race commercial.

Brakes must not work.

We all know the computer shuts down the fueling at 96 mph on a Ford.

At least we don't have to hear "like a rock" as often. I picture a rock with wheels on it, who would want one of those? The ford twin I beam front suspension drives like a rock.

I like the Dodge truck commercial where the aliens are trying to blast the truck with a laser radar phaser beam. I know what truck I'll be driving if aliens invade the earth now.

Heck yeah, they're funny!

I bout fell off the couch giggling when Mr. Ford Junior started yapping about how much TORQUE their trucks have. I just wish he could see me laughing. :D

And now that the CTD is down for a while, I've been driving my old Ford--it's pathetic, like a Cessna in a headwind. Wish somebody with insurance would run the heck over it!

An almighty 1988 Ford Diesel pulled my truck home from the accident. Got down to about 35mph on the hill I can hit 90 on unloaded (curves get in the way). But it has been a good wrecker for them, one waterpump in 200k miles---AND NO SPEEDING TICKETS!:-laf:-laf:-laf

Wade, put that in perspective and pull the same load with a stock 88 Cummins weighing the same. Just as unimpressive.

Diesel pickups have come a long way since then.

Dunno about that, I just talked to a guy with a '91 Cummins for a work truck and he claims it runs pretty good up the mountain with a load of glass. :p

One Liner.....

I can't wait to see the first non-back-upable non-driver in their brand new 4-wheel steering ride when they can't get the rear wheels to center... . crab steering on the freeway, may be then they'll feel cool just like the Bigfoot drivers :D

How about the ford ad where the VOLVO truck is bringing the new fords to the dealers. I thought ford made road tractors. what do they run in the Volvos?? Hope its a cummins!!

ford owns volvo, they are trying to make it their hi end brand name, btw: i had to argue the "you know that ford owns cummins"

with some very bright individual this week... . joe

Cow is impressed as cow boy backs four wheel steer around a fenced cow pen and horse trailer heads for fence Blink and trailer is now straight down the middle of the fenced lane between the pens as impressed cow jaw drops her feed and the rock jock smiles . I know what ill buy to impress the cows . Ron in Louisville KY :p

Didn't Honda come out with 4WSteer about 15 years ago? And now they don't offer it... wonder why?

GM's 4WS isn't for boats or cattle trailers, it's for Moms with a truck full of brats (lovely 4-doors you know) parking at soccer practice or the shopping mall.

Just imagine Mr. Ford Jr. saying "Torque" HAHAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHA! :-laf :-laf

Commericals

What about the powerjoke comm. that drops the daully in the arctic to pull the icebreaker? look real close . . it's not even in 4WD

(the front tires never spin) :p :p

And the list go'es on and on and on!
