They didn't stop with Georgia's state flag

An African American activist group is raising a ruckus in Frankfort, the state capital of Kentucky. They want a statue of Jefferson Davis removed completely from the rotunda lobby. Other statues in there are other famous Kentuckians, Ape Lincoln, and Henry Clay. They are calling 'ol Jeff's presence "an offense". I'd rather see Lincoln's statue removed.

Apparently, history has been, and is being, re-written so many times, nobody truly understands the facts behind the War of Northern Aggression, and the issue of states' rights.

When my boy was in high school, I had a look at the dreck & drivel that passes for history textbooks. The kid got some extra reading that summer, courtesy of my personal library, just to make sure he understood the truth about our heritage.

What's next? How about Washington & Lee University? Let's change the name, and while we're at it, dig up Robert E. Lee and move him off campus... .

Every Time I hear of one of these "@#%#@" groups wanting to change state flags or remove historical monuments, makes me sick!!!!



Unfortunately, these people never really studied their history. I'm originally from New York and have always had the greatest respect for the Confederacy! Any person, or people who have the guts to stand up for their way of life and take up arms to protect their property has my respect!

I think all blacks and all other minorities need to quit whining, and toughen up. YO DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO NEVER BE OFFENDED!!! If something offends you, so what? Get over it, life isnt fair. So you dont like the fact that our nation doesnt have a squeaky clean and politically correct history? THat is still no reason to change and/or rewrite it. The past is the past; it will not change. If these "minorities" were smart, they'd all try to learn from the past mistakes of others (and their own), and try to be better people for it. But instead, they scream, "Oh that offends my poor bleeding heart. I cant stand it. Booo Hooo Hooo. " Perhaps if some of them worked 50-70 hours a week (ok start them at 40 and work their way up), they'd either lack the time or energy to stir trouble for others. I am by no means harping on the people who work hard and get ahead; live the American Dream, so to speak; but rather, the NAACP, and the rest of these liberal kooks who have nothing better to do than look for stuff to gripe about, and make life miserable for whites who get ahead.

Here's another solution for them;How about they go back to their homeland and do a little roots researching,maybe they will like it so much they won't want to come back!Man i'm tired of all the whining and "what have you done for us drivel". When My grand parents came over from Germany they did not get any handouts,they worked their butts off to provide for their family and even started a small bakery. I guess you get out of life what you put into it!

Our idiot Governor in MO even had the Confederate battle flag removed from flying over the graves of the confederate soldiers. Those men fought for what they believed in and he disgraced them and what they stood for. Very few people actually know what the war of agression was all about. Much less study the battles and tactics where Lincoln had his troops firing on civilians, women and children in confederate communities. The Liberals have succeeded in getting the history books changed so that everything is politically correct to suit their needs.

Well when we Good old white boys get to gether and start telling our leaders that we are the majority and we are tired of 13% of the population running the show. Here at Shell Oil, we have an organization for gays, females, blacks, asians and hispanics. Nothing for white males. If a female/minority and a white male applies for a job, guess who gets the job.

I am 61 years old and am sick and tired of someone telling me I can't pray or have any reference to God in our schools or gov.

God forbid we say anything politicaly incorrect to someone.

It's time we organized, before they strip us of all our rights.

Sorry for the long rant. If I made anyone mad, Tough cookie. My opinion counts too.

I didn't hear about the Confederate Flag being removed from a Confederate cemetary! THAT IS AN INSULT OF THE HIGHEST DEGREE TO THE MEN WHO FOUGHT FOR THEIR LAND AND THEIR BELIEFS!!!



As I stated previously, I'm originally from New York and have always had tremendous respect for the Confederate cause! I'm a member of the Mason Dixon TDR chapter and have just ordered the Club's decal which displays the Confederate Battle Flag. This decal will be displayed in clear view on my truck for ALL to see. My small way of trying to right the injustice of removing that Flag from the Confederate Cemetary!

On a related note, concerning the Confederate flag: Many of you know I grew up about 35 miles west of Talladega, Alabama, having moved there from Kentucky at age 7. For 30 years I've been attending races at the superspeedway. Right up until the early 80's , many of the blacks attending the races, were flying that flag off the back or top of their trucks and old school buses. Back then, it equated to southern pride for them, then somebody came along and made them think differently... .

People of many different cultures and races fought in that war... on both sides.
