I watched "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence" for about the 100th time again this AM. John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Vera Miles, Lee Van Cleef, Edmund O'Brien, Andy Devine, Strother Martin and Denver Pyle all in a movie directed by none other than John Ford. How can ya go wrong?
In one scene a memorable line delivered by John Wayne as only he could, "Liberty Valence's the toughest man south of the Picket Wire... next to me. "
One of my all time favorite westerns for sure. A poignant story beautifully told. If the closing scene doesn't put a lump in your throat, then there's somethin' wrong with ya!
