They put the Jacobs exhaust brake on my truck today

We had agreed on the price out the door Includeing tax, title and plates. In the shop they kept asking If I wanted the chrome pkg and I said that would be nice so they put It on. They loaded It up today. They sure are being good to me. I am picking It up tomorrow. I hope they fill It up with fuel. Back to the Jake brake I don't know how It works. I did not even ask for It. It In the paint shop getting the hood scoop painted. Had to take the truck there so they could match the paint. Tomorrow we will see what happens. I will miss my dually. It drives like a dream but the wife won't drive It. :{

Its easy to use the jake brake



Truck cold, turn it on, and jake brake will come on to assist warming the truck up. Press the throttle and jake brake will go off.



truck warmed up. turn it on, When you let off the fuel pedal slowing down, jake brake will come on within a couple seconds. It will shut off once you come to a complete stop with the 6 speed, not sure when it goes off with the auto.



try it with the cruse control, when going level or up a hill, the engine keeps truck to speed, go down a hill and the jake brake comes on keeping the truck to speed. Really pisses people off when they have to hit the brakes following you down hill.

Thanks for the Information, my truck Is automatic for the little lady. She a good driver but did not like the six speed says It hard to shift. The gears are close that the problem. Six gear Is a pisser IN my truck.

Dude - you really think they are going to give it to you for free - thats an 1800 dealer installed option! And the chrome package runs somewhere over 2K~



I hope for your sake its not going to be tacked on... .
